There are really two products here. The free “Bot Fight Mode” is a blunt instrument — it will happily challenge your own API clients and monitoring, and its lack of exceptions makes it nearly unusable on anything with programmatic traffic. Super Bot Fight Mode on paid plans adds some knobs but keeps the same rigidity.

Full Bot Management (the ML-driven 1–99 score you can use in WAF rules) is genuinely good, and combining it with JA4 fingerprints and custom rules is powerful. But it’s Enterprise-only, priced accordingly, and the score is ultimately a black box you’re asked to trust.

If your traffic includes lots of legitimate automation — launchers, game clients, CLI tools — expect to spend real time building allow-lists. Verified bots coverage is decent but not exhaustive.
