DNS review
Score: 10/10Free, easy, fast. The default answer for DNS.
The breakdown explains the score. It is not an average. How to read these.

There is not much to debate here. Cloudflare’s authoritative DNS is free, unlimited, and consistently fast. Records propagate almost immediately, the API is first-class, and DNSSEC is a toggle rather than a weekend project.
After a decade of relying on it, the strongest praise I can give is that I almost never think about it. Migrations in are painless (it scans your existing records on import), Terraform support is solid, and Cloudflare DNS itself is never the thing that pages anyone.
If you use nothing else from Cloudflare, put your DNS here. It is the on-ramp to the rest of the platform and excellent on its own.

Counts what Cloudflare published, not what broke: time open is how long the status entry stayed open, and nothing before January 2019 is tracked at all. Incidents Cloudflare tagged against nothing but named in the title are counted too. The caveats in full.
