Score: 6/10The transformations are great; the product around them is confusing.

Cloudflare Images is really two products wearing one name: image transformations (resize, convert, optimize any image via URL — the old Image Resizing) and image storage with its variant system. The transformations half is excellent: flexible, fast, priced sanely, and it works against your own origin or R2.
The storage half is where it gets frustrating. Named variants are rigid compared to arbitrary transforms, migration tooling is basic, and the pricing units (storage per 100k images, delivery per 100k) never quite map to how you think about an image library.
My advice has settled at: keep your originals in R2, use transformations for delivery, and skip the storage product unless the signed-URL variant workflow matches your exact shape. Scored as the blended experience.
