Stream handles uploads, transcoding, adaptive HLS/DASH delivery, and an embeddable player. Its per-minute storage and delivery pricing is easier to predict than the per-GB alternatives. Live streaming with automatic recording works well.
It is easy to recommend when you need video on a site without building the pipeline yourself. The API is straightforward, and signed URLs handle access control cleanly.
Analytics are shallow next to Mux, while clipping, multiple audio tracks, and detailed encoding controls arrived late or remain limited. The player is fine rather than great. Stream covers the common 80%; whether that is enough depends on your use case.
