Cloudflare Tunnel (cloudflared) creates outbound-only connections from your infrastructure to Cloudflare’s edge, which means services with zero open inbound ports and no origin IP to discover or attack. It’s free, and it fundamentally changes how internal services get exposed.

Replicas give you high availability for free, remote config management from the dashboard means no more SSH-ing around to update ingress rules, and pairing it with Access gives you an authenticated front door to anything — a dev box, a router UI, an internal dashboard — in minutes.

The missing point is for operational quirks: the local-config vs remote-config split still confuses people, connector version upgrades occasionally change behavior, and debugging a misbehaving tunnel through its logs is an acquired skill.
