Cloudflare Web Analytics gives you privacy-respecting, cookie-free page analytics for free — either from edge data on proxied zones or via a lightweight beacon. For a landing page or docs site where you just want traffic shape and Core Web Vitals, it’s entirely adequate and requires zero consent-banner anxiety.

That’s also its ceiling. There are no funnels, no custom events worth mentioning, no retention analysis, and the dashboard’s filtering is basic. Data sampling on higher-traffic sites makes precise numbers fuzzy.

I treat it as a free bonus rather than an analytics product: it’s on for everything because why not, and anything that actually needs product analytics runs something else alongside.
